If you haven't squeezed every last drop out of summer yet, here's your excuse to go back for one more.
Mason's Creamery, FrankieLynn Hot Dogs and Cult Craft Sodas are teaming up for Franks & Floats — an afternoon built entirely around the two things that make a Westside summer worth remembering. Hot dogs off the griddle, snapped into a soft bun. And root beer floats made the way you remember them: a scoop of Mason's ice cream dropped into zero-proof soda, foam climbing the glass before it settles, that first sip that's half drink and half dessert and somehow better than either one alone.
It's the flavor of a backyard folding chair in late August. Of a paper boat of ice cream melting faster than you can eat it. Of being nine years old with nowhere to be until the streetlights came on.
Bonus: every dollar from sticker sales at the event goes to City Dogs Cleveland — so you can leave with a sticker on your water bottle and a good deed on your conscience.
