Cleveland's west side has a Chipotle, a Mitchell's, and β plot twist β one of the largest contiguous urban farms in America, all within walking distance. We're not sure the zoning board fully thought this through, and we love it.
Here's the news: Ohio City Farm just put down permanent roots. After years of dreaming, the team has opened the Glick Farm Store at 2304 Bridge Ave. β a brick-and-mortar home for everything the farm's five acres have been quietly producing in the middle of the city. "We have been dreaming about having a brick and mortar for a long time," says Re:Source Cleveland's Rachel Ramos.
So what's actually on the shelves? More than you'd guess from a farm store:
But the best part isn't sitting on any shelf. Every dollar you spend funds fair-wage jobs for Cleveland's international newcomers β refugees, asylees, and immigrants who bring generations of agricultural knowledge and tradition from their home countries straight to our neighborhood. The farm has long been a place where that expertise takes root; the store gives it a storefront, a register, and a way for the rest of us to pitch in by simply buying dinner.

It's the rare spot where "shop local" means walking past a national burrito chain to support five acres of urban farmland and the people who tend it.
So go. Grab your produce, browse a cookbook, meet the folks behind the counter.
