For 99 years, the Clague Playhouse has been putting on community theatre. For roughly as long, something has been putting on a show of its own.
The Westlake theatre was built inside an old barn where the original property owner now haunts. Known as Walter, he moves things around, makes strange noises and performs other ghostly activities.
Walter gets restless whenever the playhouse changes anything, which is deeply relatable. I lose my keys once a day and I'd haunt a barn over less.
The theatre announced that after hosting a private paranormal group called Chaos Paranormal, they will be opening up for ghost tours leading up to and through Spooky Season.
My pitch: an old-fashioned lock-in. Sleeping bags, snacks, Ouija board. If Walter has been performing for 99 years I want to listen to what he has to say.
